Life Planner ("we", "us", or "our") is a personal productivity and habit-tracking application designed and operated by Rapheal Kwabena. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Life Planner mobile application (the "App") and the website located at lifeplanner.app (the "Site").
By creating an account, accessing, or using Life Planner, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree with the terms outlined herein, please do not use the App or Site.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect data that is strictly necessary to provide the features and services of Life Planner. The types of data collected include:
- Account Credentials: Full name and email address provided during user registration.
- Profile Data: An optional profile photo, stored securely in our cloud storage bucket.
- Productivity Data: User-created content including tasks, priorities, due dates, custom categories, habit names, completions, habit logs, focus session records (duration and category), journal entries, and mood logs.
- Collaboration Data: Workspace details, invite codes, task assignments, tasks, and task comments shared within collaborative groups you explicitly join or create.
- Device Identifiers: Expo Push Notification tokens (only if push notification access is explicitly granted) used to deliver scheduled reminders.
- Local Analytics: Locally-stored usage metrics, such as app launch streak counts, strictly utilized on-device to trigger user feedback dialogs. We do not transmit this data to our servers.
We do not collect advertising IDs, track physical location data, gather device hardware configuration, or scrape external calendars or address books.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is processed to deliver, maintain, and optimize the features of the App. Specific uses include:
- Creating and managing your user account and secure session.
- Synchronizing your tasks, habits, journal logs, and groups across multiple devices.
- Processing collaborative actions in group workspaces, such as task updates and comment rendering.
- Delivering local and push reminders for scheduled habits and tasks.
- Providing data export and total account deletion services upon request.
3. Data Storage, Hosting, and Security
We prioritize the confidentiality and integrity of your data. All database tables and file assets are hosted on secure cloud infrastructure managed by our professional database and hosting providers.
- Database-Level Security: All tables implement strict database-level security and access control policies. Your personal data is only accessible via queries authenticated with your unique user token. Group workspace data is strictly restricted to authenticated members belonging to the respective group.
- Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest on encrypted databases and storage buckets.
- Access Restriction: We maintain strict credential management. Only authorized administrative processes or service edge functions access user databases.
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, trade, or distribute your personal data. We only share data with the following entities under the specified conditions:
- Service Providers: We use industry-standard cloud providers as our database, authentication, storage, and edge computing backend partners. These partners are strictly prohibited from using your data for any marketing or advertising purposes.
- Group Collaborators: Any tasks, comments, and task completion updates you post within shared group workspaces are visible to the other members of that workspace.
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose information if required to do so by applicable law, regulation, subpoena, or government demand.
5. Children's Privacy
Life Planner is not intended for or directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal data to us, we will take immediate steps to permanently purge such data from our databases. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted data, please contact us at lifeplannerapplication@gmail.com.
6. Data Portability, Control, and Deletion Rights
You have full ownership of your data. We provide the following tools directly within the App under the Profile and Account settings:
- Data Access & Verification: You can view all your tasks, habits, and journals at any time directly through the interface.
- Data Export: You can export a comprehensive copy of all personal productivity data in a structured, machine-readable JSON format.
- Account and Data Deletion: You can permanently delete your account at any time. The deletion service removes your account, personal productivity records, memberships, uploaded avatar, and your group attachments. Shared groups with other members remain; ownership transfers to a remaining member. Shared task records may remain with your user reference removed. Your comments are deleted. Groups with no remaining members are removed. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect modifications in our features or changes in compliance requirements. We will alert you of updates by posting the revised version on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Life Planner after updates are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
